For me personally, the importance of geometry lies in its role as an idealized system of knowledge that goes beyond sensory perception. 

It is a methodological ideal that serves as a universal language for forms and relationships in nature, art and spirituality.

Philosophically, geometry is a tool for understanding the structure of reality and points to a higher, spiritual order that is separate from the physical world.

Artists such as Sophie Taeuber-Arp, István Jarmeczky or Wassily Kandinsky have helped me develop and understand the depths of geometric abstraction.
